Afterpay Day 2024 is live. Kicking off on on 14 March and running for four glorious days, this year's event will offer massive savings from over 3,000 Australian retailers.

You'll be able to pick up a bargain on products from a massive range of categories, including tech, homewares, appliances and personal care during the four-day sale.

There will also be big discounts on fashion and beauty from those retailers as well.

What is Afterpay?

Afterpay is a "buy now, pay later" (BNPL) service. It allows consumers to make purchases and pay for them in instalments over time, typically four equal payments made every two weeks.

This payment method is becoming popular among younger consumers for its convenience and flexibility.

How does Afterpay work?

Afterpay has been so successful because it's so simple. Here's how it works:

  1. Purchase: A customer selects products or services from a retailer that offers Afterpay as a payment option.
  2. Checkout: During the checkout process, the customer chooses Afterpay as the payment method.
  3. Instalments: Afterpay divides the total purchase amount into four equal payments. The customer pays the first instalment at the time of purchase. Afterpay takes the following payments automatically from the customer's selected payment method every two weeks.
  4. No Interest (Usually): Afterpay does not typically charge interest on its instalments, but there might be fees if customers miss or reschedule payments.

What products can you buy during the sale?

Because Afterpay Day is available to any retailer that offers Afterpay, you can buy pretty much anything during the sale.

Unlike other big sale events like EOFY or Black Friday though, this sale is limited to retailers that offer Afterpay as a payment option.
