DJI knows what you need: You need more power
Owners of the Power 1000 can now daisy chain up to 11 kWh of power with the DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000.
DJI is pushing hard into the portable power station market this year. After launching the Power 500 and and Power 1000 earlier this year, it has now expanded its lineup with a battery expansion system.
The DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 is designed as an extra 2048 Wh power unit for the Power 1000. It doesn't feature any direct power ports on its own, instead offering a simple connection port that lets you connect it to the Power 1000.
DJI will even let you daisy chain up to five Expansion Battery 2000s to a Power 1000 for up to 11 kWh of power, enough to turn the original battery into a real home backup system. The product is designed to be stackable with the Power 1000, with all the ports on one side for simplicity.
"DJI has a long history in battery research and development as battery life and charging efficiency have been integral to user satisfaction with each of our products. The DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 is the latest iteration in this storied journey and we’re excited for this extension battery to open even more of the outdoors for exploration while also offering peace of mind for power storage and supply if at home."
- Ferdinand Wolf, Product Experience Director at DJI.
Adding in the expansion battery also improves the Power 1000. When attached to the Power Expansion Battery 2000, the Power 1000 can consistently supply power at 2400 watts and overclock the output at 2600 watts. This is enough to supply power to most home appliances.
The expansion battery offers DJI's Battery Management system for safe recharging and no overheating, while using the Lithium Iron Phosphate cells for safe, extended battery life of up to 4000 cycles.
