A robot vacuum is one of the few products on the market today with the capacity to completely change your life. One of the biggest brands in the category, Ecovacs, this week launched its new Deebot T20 Omni in Australia.
Among the impressive new specs to appear in the T20 Omni is a massive 6,000Pa of suction and a large 5,200mAh battery to ensure the vacuum can clean your home effortlessly.
Ecovacs claims that battery is big enough to deliver four hours of cleaning on a single charge.
While robot vacuums have always been good at vacuuming, mopping functions have often felt like more hassle than they are worth. When I reviewed the Deebot X1 Plus, for example, I needed to completely replace the rear of the vacuum in order to get a high quality mop done.
For the T20 Omni, Ecovacs has introduced two pretty awesome innovations to its mopping system. The twin rotating mop pads feature an auto-lifting function, which allows the T20 to sense hard floors and carpets or rugs, and lift the pads up so there's no mopping of the carpeted surfaces.
Powerful OMNI station and improved software
The Deebot T20 OMNI comes with a base station, which offers hot-water washing of the mop pads and 4L clean and dirty water tanks.
It washes those mop pads at 55 degrees to ensure oil, dirt or sticky residues are effectively removed off mop pads for hygiene and easy-maintenance.
Hot air drying features help keep everything dry to avoid bacteria and odours.
The vacuum auto-empties into a 3L dust bag after every clean as well, which means you don't have to touch the vacuum for up to 75 days, yet still enjoy a clean home.
Ecovacs has added a housekeeper mode, which launches an intelligent cleaning regime. If it's been a while between vacuums, it automatically goes into a deep clean, while also focusing on rooms more prone to dirt.
The vacuum features the Ecovacs Yiko voice control, plus the latest version of its TrueDetect 3D 3.0 obstacle avoidance technology.
