Epson's new mini projectors are compact 1080p models with Google TV
Now I wanna watch The Mandalorian on my ceiling.
There's a limit to the size of a TV screen you can reasonably install in your home. I know there are now 110-inch models available, but the cost for that is extra-ordinary, and there's no way you could mount that size on your ceiling.
Compare that to the latest home theatre projectors from Epson. The EF-21 and EF-22 models use a lamp-free laser light source to project 1080p images up to 150 inches on the diagonal.
Because it's a projector, you can set it up to broadcast a picture onto your ceiling without any concern of it falling on you.
Both new models feature two 5W speakers inside, as well as Bluetooth support so you can easily pair it with a Bluetooth speaker for superior sound.
Picture quality is 1080p, but with Epson's 3LCD technology you get 5,000,000:1 contrast and deep colour reproduction. It produces 1,000 lumens of brightness and features an auto-correct function do you don't need to spend an eternity playing around with keystone adjustments.
Plus, the models come with Google TV inside, so you can use the projector as a standalone entertainment hub.
Pricing and availability
The EF-21 and EF-22 Epson projectors are available now. The key difference between the models is that the EF-22 comes with an adjustable fixed stand, making it easier to project onto a ceiling, while the EF-21 is simply the projector on its own.
The FE-21 comes in green and white colours with an RRP of $1,299, while the EF-22 comes in black for an RRP of $1,599.
