Laser launches GTEK for wallet-friendly gaming hardware

Gaming keyboards, controllers and HDMI 2.1 cables available now at JB Hi-Fi online.

A stylised image of a man playing PC games using GTEK accessories.

I've thought about trying to get into PC gaming a few times over the years. I have been thinking I'll eventually get myself a Steam Deck or a ROG Ally X, because it seems to be cheaper than investing in a full on gaming setup with accessories and everything.

But Laser has just launched the GTEK brand, which may sway me back to the full PC gaming setup. Offering a range of gaming accessories at a more affordable price tag, it could be a cheaper way of bulking out my gaming setup without spending a huge chunk of change.

“As gaming continues to grow as mainstream entertainment for a huge number of Australians, we have worked tirelessly to create products that keep up with your performance and elevate immersion to the next level. We’re here to level up gaming without levelling out people’s budgets,”
– Chris Lau, Managing Director, LASER Corp, on its GTEK Range.

GTEK has launched a range of products through JB Hi-Fi's online store, with the lineup set to be sold in JB Hi-Fi stores from 2025.

The launch includes both traditional gaming accessories, like mechanical keyboards and mice, as well as a range of high-end cables, including HDMI and USB connections. The cables are all designed to deliver the best possible connectivity, including 8K 60fps / 4K 120 fps in the HDMI 2.1B cable.

But cables are boring, so let's look at the accessories a bit more:
