I really want LG's indoor gardening appliances

Could this help me not kill every indoor plant I own? If it can, I'm in.

Apparently LG announced its latest indoor gardening appliances on Christmas Eve. Who announces anything on Christmas Eve? Don't they know I'm not working?

Which is my way of saying that I missed this announcement, and I wish I didn't. Because it's really kind of cool!

Set to be showcased at CES, the new appliances are designed to help anyone grow a variety of plants indoors, with a system designed for fast, healthy plant growth.

LG has two designs for their appliances: one that looks like a floor-standing lamp, with lots of space to support the growth of a wide range of plants; and a second side-table design.

The new indoor gardening appliances are designed to help nurture plants easily. The LED growing lights are height adjustable, and there's a 1.5 gallon (5.67 Litres) water tank, which the appliance draws on to automatically water your plants.

It can grow up to 20 plants with its four seed kit capacity, while LG's ThinQ app will allow you to monitor cultivation schedules and adjust things like lighting settings remotely.

“Our new indoor gardening appliances present a fresh way for customers to create their own personal green spaces, have fun growing their own plants, and infuse their homes with an inspired touch of modern style.

“We will continue to deliver innovative indoor solutions that allow anyone to experience the joy of gardening, regardless of where they live.”

- Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company

It's worth noting that this isn't LG's first indoor gardening appliance. The first generation was announced back at CES 2022, and never made it to Australia.

I've got my fingers crossed that this generation does. It looks great!
