Motorola has been smashing out the phone launches the past few months. First there was the budget G series announcement in March, followed by the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion announcement in May.

In June it followed with the Razr 50 Ultra, and then hit us with the g85 just two weeks ago.

Today, Motorola has rounded out its family of Edge 50 smartphones, launching the Edge 50 and the Edge 50 Neo.

That's... a lot of phones. It's no wonder Motorola has slipped into the 3rd largest smartphone brand in Australia this year.

Let's take a closer look at what each phone offers, shall we?

Moto Edge 50 vs Moto Edge 50 Neo

The Edge 50 is the more premium of the two new models, yet less powerful that the Edge 50 Pro.

It boasts a borderless 6.7-inch pOLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. It also boasts a Qualcomm Adreno GPU for improved graphical performance.

Comparatively the Moto Edge 50 Neo has a 6.4-inch pOLED display and is powered by the MediaTek 7300 chipset.

Both phones offer IP68 dust and water resistance, and are rated to the MIL-STD-810H military standard for durability and use in extreme conditions.

Both phones offer the same triple camera array, with the main 50MP snapper powered by a Sony Lytia sensor. You also get a 10MP telephoto lens and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.

You get 68W Turbocharging with both models, as well as 15W fast wireless charging with a compatible charger. The Moto Edge 50's battery is slightly larger at 5,000 mAh compared to the Neo's 4,310 mAh battery though.

I've popped a full breakdown of specs below to compare every detail, but ultimately the two phones are remarkably similar, with the Neo just a little less powerful.
