If you're looking for a new gaming headset and spend most of your time on the Xbox, Microsoft has just updated its wireless headset.

Among the list of improvements is the arrival of Dolby Atmos support, upgraded Bluetooth connectivity with Bluetooth 5.3 and an improved microphone and battery life.

There has also been a bit of a refresh of the design, with Microsoft removing the green accent of the previous generation, instead opting for a much more discreet all-black design.

Microsoft is promising up to 20 hours of battery life from a single charge – up from 15 hours on the previous generation, and the mic supports auto mute and voice isolation for improved audio quality.

That upgrade to Bluetooth 5.3 isn't just for show, either. It allows you to seamlessly switch between a direct connection to your Xbox as well as your PC or phone.

Pricing and availability

The new Xbox Wireless headset replaces the previous generation and is available now. It has an RRP of $159.95, which is a $10 price hike over the previous gen, but sounds like it might be worth it.
