How many travel mugs is a reasonable number for a single person to use at a time? I'm testing out the new Ember travel mug now, but Ninja has just launched the Thirsti, a travel mug designed for fizzy drinks.

According to the press release, the Thirsti's insides are polished and super-smooth – Ninja trademarked the term "BubbleLock" for this - which helps keep soft drinks fizzier for longer.

How long? Not sure. The announcement didn't mention that. It did say that the Thirsti's insulation will keep drinks cold for 24 hours, and ice will stay frozen for two days.

You can also use the cup for hot drinks, with Ninja promising to keep it hot for 12 hours, though it's not powered like the Ember mug.

The cup also features a leak-proof lid that promises not to spill, even with fizz. It's made from 18/8 stainless steel, and is both dishwasher safe and BPA free.

Interestingly, when I searched this up for a bit more info, it seems Ninja has a drink carbonator called the Thirsti in the US. It's not available in Australia yet though, and there's no word on it coming any time soon. Just in case you were wondering.

Pricing and availability

The Ninja Thirsti travel mug is available now in two sizes: 530 ml and 700 ml. It comes in five colour options: Black, Mint, Grey, Blue, or White.

The smaller 530 ml version costs $49.99 and the larger 700 ml version is $59.99.

All are available from Ninja's website.
