Oppo A98 5G delivers fast charging and all day battery for $649

Hot on the heels of the Reno10 5G launch last week, Oppo today has released the latest addition to its A series, the Oppo A98 5G.
With an RRP of just $649, the A98 5G offers an impressive range of specs for a mid-ranged phone.
At the top of the list is the 5,000 mAh battery, which supports OPPO's 67W SUPERVOOC charging technology. Using the 67W SUPERVOOC, the A98 can be charged from 0% to 100% in just 44 minutes.
A quick five minute charge, meanwhile, offers enough battery for about 2.5 hours of YouTube streaming.
The phone boasts a 6.72-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, offering smooth performance no matter the application being used.
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 695 5G processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM. The phone's microSD slot supports cards up to 1TB as well.
Camera quality
The OPPO A98 5G's camera array boasts a 64 MP AI Camera, a 32 MP Selfie Camera, a 2 MP Depth Camera and a 2 MP Microlens.
The microlens is an interesting addition, offering up to 40 times magnification, to take detailed photos at a microscopic level.
The main AI camera, meanwhile, is designed to help you take perfectly balanced photos in a range of lighting conditions using intelligent software.
Pricing and availability
Weighing around 192 g and measuring about 8.2 mm in thickness, the OPPO A98 5G is available in two colours: Dreamy Blue and Cool Black.
It is available from today for an RRP of $649 at Office Works, JB Hi-Fi and OPPO Australia’s Online Store.
