OPPO brings the Find X8 Pro to Australia for $1,799
After skipping a few generations, Oppo has decided to bring its latest flagship, the Find X8 Pro, to Australia.
Like a recent high school graduate who decides to travel before going to university, OPPO has had a couple of years off from the Australian market for its flagship Find X smartphones.
And after finding itself, the company is back with the Find X8 Pro, a flagship dominated by an impressive Hasselblad camera system.
The phone features an advanced 50 megapixel quad camera setup, with a 135mm periscope camera that offers a 6X zoom, as well as a larger 23mm wide angle sensor.
One periscope camera isn't enough for this phone though, with a second triple-prism periscope camera attached to a 50MP Sony LYT600 sensor for better low-light performance.
The benefit of this combination is a gapless zoom, which is not something previously available in smartphones. OPPO has also packed in a bunch of AI software to improve the photo quality, really putting an emphasis on the phone's camera skills.
This is enhanced by a dedicated quick button, which works similarly to Apple's camera control button on the iPhone 16, letting you zoom in and out and take photos easily.
In other specs, you get a 6.78 120Hz display with 1600 nits peak brightness and Ultra HDR support. A slim 1.9mm bezel makes the screen look bigger than it is as well.
There's a massive 5910 mAh battery inside, with support for OPPO's 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, and 50W AIRVOOC fast wireless charging.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, and comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB of memory.
