Samsung adds two larger Galaxy Ring sizes plus plans for Australian retail release

With two larger Galaxy Ring sizes and an update to Samsung Health for better sleep tracking, Samsung has kicked off its New Years Resolutions with a bang.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring

Samsung launched the Galaxy Ring last year with nine different sizes in its sizing kit, ranging from 5 to 13. Now, that sizing kit go two sizes larger, with Samsung announcing a size 14 and a size 15 for people with larger fingers.

The new sizes will also be available in the same three colour options: Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold.

To accompany the new Ring sizes, Samsung has made a few updates to the Samsung Health app for improved sleep tracking.

The first update is sleep time guidance, which will suggest an optimal bedtime, based on your sleep patterns and habits.

The second update is a mindfulness tracker, which lets you monitor your moods as well as offering breathing and meditation exercises for improving your mental health.

Pricing and availability

The new Galaxy Ring sizes will be progressively available for purchase beginning January 23.

The Ring will also be arriving in Australian retailers. While it was initially a Samsung store exclusive, Australians will also be able to buy the Ring at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Telstra Stores and Amazon from the 23rd.

The catch is that the sizing kit won't be free at retail – JB Hi-Fi is currently showing the sizing kit as a $10 purchase, though it's "Coming soon" as I write this.
