Samsung launched the first generation of the Odyssey Ark curved gaming monitor back in 2022 as a flagship screen for passionate gamers. The 2nd generation Odyssey Ark builds on that legacy, and is available in Australia now.

Measuring 55 inches on the diagonal with a 1000R curvature, the gaming monitor is designed to immerse you in your games.

In addition to three HDMI ports, Samsung has added a DisplayPort connection and a KVM switch, so you can seamlessly connect between different devices from the screen itself.

Because it's so large, the Odyssey Ark allows users to split the screen into up to four windows, so you can watch a livestream while playing a game, or if you need to jump into work mode, manage multiple documents at once.

Samsung's Flex Move Screen function on the Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen will let users adjust the screen size and aspect ratio to match their game, which can all be controlled by a dedicated dial.

Specs and price

On the specs front, the Samsung Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen has a 4K display (3840 x 2160) with a 165Hz refresh rate.

It boasts four speakers at each corner of the screen, which can produce 60 Watts of sound and supports Dolby Atmos.

The monitor also comes loaded with Samsung's Smart TV software, so you can connect it to Wi-Fi, and then stream your favourite content from services like Netflix or Disney Plus.

It's all powered by Samsung's Gaming Hub software, which allows you to seamlessly integrate music and streaming services to personalise your gaming experience.

The Samsung Odyssey Ark 2nd gen is available to order online now through Samsung's online store. It has an RRP of $3,999.
