I was disappointed when the Galaxy Ring wasn't announced for Australia back at Unpacked in July, but it turns out the wait wasn't too long.

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Ring wearable will hit Australia in mid-October.

Right now there hasn't been any information on pricing, so expect that a bit closer to the actual release date. It's not going to be cheap though. It sells for US$$399.99, which is currently about AUD $600 in a direct exchange, so expect it to be higher than that.

The Galaxy Ring comes in nine different sizes and three different colours - Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold. Because of the challenges of finding the perfect ring fit, Samsung will offer customers a Ring sizing kit as part of the checkout process.

To ensure you get the right fit, Samsung is recommending you wear the sample ring for a full 24 hours before confirming your order to make sure your fit is correct.

International reviews of the Galaxy Ring have been mostly positive, with most sites applauding the Ring's style, features and battery life, while lamenting its price and exclusivity with Samsung's Health app.

In any case, I'm excited to check it out when it lands. Particularly for the ability to track my sleep without wearing a watch – I quite enjoyed the Galaxy Watch Ultra when I reviewed it, but it was exceptionally uncomfortable to sleep with.
