I always though that portable power stations were a bit of a luxury product for those who like their camping to be more like glamping.
But the new EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 looks like it's an ideal solution not just for those who like their creature comforts in the bush, but as a robust power solution for any home.
First off, the Delta Pro 3 is a beast. It can store 4 kWh of power and output 4,000W of power. That means you can plug it into your home appliances to easily keep the lights on during a power outage, keeping a 200W fridge running for up to three days.
If you want, you can expand that capacity to 12kWh with additional battery units, which is almost enough to let you live off grid if you can keep it charged.
It's plug and play, with four standard AC power points, plus two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports.
It's equipped to charge from six unique options, or fast charge across 18 different combinations, including from solar panels, EV charging stations, and your car's cigarette lighter.
It's pretty big though. That much power isn't lightweight, with the unit weighing in at 51.5 kg and measuring in at 693 x 341 x 410 mm. It is quiet though, with under 30dB if you keep the output under 2000W.
Pricing and availability
As you might expect, a portable power station with this much power has a pretty steep price tag. It has an RRP of $6,699, though as a launch offer you can pick it up for just $4,099 .
I've got a unit here I'm testing out, so stay tuned for a review in the coming weeks.
