We always knew it was just a matter of time. Samsung has officially launched its Galaxy Ring wearable in Australia overnight.
Selling for $699 RRP, the Galaxy Ring has a whole user journey that involves getting a sizing kit to find your perfect ring size before you get the real thing.
Having tested out the sizing kit (but not the Ring itself), I can tell you that the process – while a bit cumbersome – is definitely worthwhile. My finger swelled while I was testing the sizing kit, so I ended up deciding on a larger size than I originally planned.
The Galaxy Ring sizes also don'y align to jewellery ring sizes, so sizing is essential to get the best fit.
That said, if you were to find your size in a retail environment – currently just the Samsung Experience stores around the country – you can order the Ring directly and have it delivered straight away.
The Galaxy Ring comes in three different shades of titanium: Gold, Silver and Black, and nine different sizes. Samsung told me in a briefing yesterday that globally, the Black colour is most popular, which is backed by the 70:30 male to female customer ratio.
