The Withings ScanWatch Nova Brilliant is a stunningly elegant smartwatch
Smaller and fore refined than the original ScanWatch Nova.
BTTR is independent, but we may earn money when you purchase through links on our site.
The original ScanWatch Nova is a nice looking watch, but it is exceptionally masculine. With its large 42mm watch face, it looked like something you would see Chris Hemsworth modelling on gigantic billboards.
The ScanWatch Nova Brilliant, which was announced this week, is equally attractive. But Withings has shrunk it down to a 39 mm watch face and refined the design to suit more feminine wrists.
This is the type of watch you would see someone like Scarlett Johansson modelling.
There are two colour variations of the Nova Brilliant: "titanium silver" and "silver and gold", which given the $799.99 asking price I don't think is actually made from silver and gold.
But it still looks fantastic.
On the smartwatch side, this is effectively the same watch as the original ScanWatch Nova.
It boasts a sapphire glass watch face, and offers the hybrid analogue display, with a small OLED at the top of the watch face common across all the Withings lineup, including the ScanWatch Light.
The watch offers an on-demand medical-grade ECG function, tracks body temperature 24 hours a day, can monitor blood oxygen levels and offers traditional exercise and sleep tracking as well.
You can access all your data through the Withings app, which also combines information from other Withings products, like the Sleep Analyser or the Body Scan Smart Scales.
The only real difference I can see between the Brilliant and the original Nova – aside from the design change and the smaller screes, is that the Brilliant is only rated to 5ATM of water resistance, vs the original Nova's 10ATM.
