The Cupertino giant has today confirmed that its 2024 annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will run between June 10 and June 14 this year.

The event, which showcases the latest versions of Apple's software across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch TV, and now Vision augmented reality hardware, is an opportunity for developers to work closely with Apple to get more from their applications.

Apple also has a history of unveiling hardware during the WWDC keynote. Last year, we saw the new Vision Pro, and in previous years we saw the original HomePod announced at the event.

But the main focus of the conference – and the keynote – is to highlight the upcoming software improvements across Apple's major platforms.

“We’re so excited to connect with developers from around the world for an extraordinary week of technology and community at WWDC24.

“WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even more wonderful.”

- Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.

WWDC 2024 is free for all developers, and while it is mainly an online event, Apple will hold in-person activities at Apple Park in Cupertino.

Devs can follow with announcements, as well as access videos and news for the conference via the Apple Developer app and on the Apple developer website.
